WelcomeWelcome to the 3rd Bristol Vegan fayre, to be held on Saturday 29th October at the L Shed Bristol from 10am till 6pm. Admission is FREE and everyone is welcome. The Bristol Vegan fayre is a family day out, organised by Yaoh, StageOne of the highlights of the show is definitely the stage area, which this year will be featuring a vegan FASHION SHOW as well as a SHOULDERPRESS COMPETITION, featuring the Vegan Bodybuilders www.veganbodybuilding.org as well as live bands and a DJ, plus a variety of short talks and demos.
TalksThis year’s Talks room has been expanded to seat up to 70 people in a sectioned – off area of the show. Mike Abrahams from Wild Oats will be hosting the talks, which include Kerry McCarthy, vegan MP for Bristol East, Dr Stephen Walsh from the Vegan Society, and vegan sports nutrition expert Gareth Zeal.
Special guestsSpecial Guests for 2005 include the BRISTOL CANCER HELP CENTRE, celebrating their 25th year, and VEGFAM, who work with vegan based projects in developing countries. The VEGAN SOCIETY are also in town, with their AGM in Bristol the day after the fayre. StallsOver 100 stalls this year, with a massive range of vegan products available, as well as a number of campaigning stalls. Highlights include 4 hemp stalls, several clothes stalls, footwear, bodycare, fashion and accessories, practitioners and therapists, loads of healthy food options and national campaigning outfits like Animal Aid and the Vegan Society as well as many local groups.
