Yaoh supports the Extreme Rowing Race, the Vegan Coast to Coast Challenge, and the North West Vegan Festival.
Extreme Rowing
2 girls race across the Atlantic Ocean fuelled by Yaoh hemp protein powder in the most extreme rowing race on the planet! This December Catherine Allaway and Margaret Bowling will be rowing 3,000 miles from the Canary Islands to Antigua in the Woodvale Atlantic Rowing Race 2007. The crossing will take an estimated 2 months and the two girls will take turns rowing in
shifts of 2 hours on, 2 hours off the whole way. They are racing in their purpose-built 24ft ocean rowing boat "Atlantic Jack". With a supply of Hemp protein both in training and on board the 2 month crossing, the girls are looking for an edge over the other 21 teams as they pit their mental and physical strengths against each other and the might of the Atlantic Ocean by competing in "The World's Toughest Rowing Race". For full details about the race and boat please visit their website

The Vegan Coast - to - Coast Challenge
On May 24th 2008, Gemma and Ben will be embarking on a 190 mile walk from Robin Hood's Bay on the East coast of Britain to St. Bee's Head on the West. They will be supported by a fully vegan diet throughout our journey, and whilst it is usually completed in around 2 weeks, they are aiming to reach the end within 8 days.
They are undertaking this challenge to raise money for St. Francis Animal Welfare, an animal shelter located in Fair Oak, Hampshire (registered charity number 263172). Formed in 1953, they take in both domestic and wild animals and look after them until they can be placed with loving homes or released back into the wild. It is their policy to never put a healthy animal down. Yaoh, along with a number of other vegan firms and charities, are supporting Gemma and Ben both in training and during the walk itself, with a good supply of dehulled hemp seeds and hemp protein powder. See their website for more info here
North West Vegan Festival
The North West Vegan Festival will be held on Sat 26th Jan 2008 in a massive hall at the Sachas Hotel - right in the centre of Manchester. Yaoh are thrilled to announce sponsorship for this event, and are encouraging others to get behind the show to make it a huge success.
