Misty in Roots, Dreadzone, Smith and Willox and Babyhead play the BVF 08
The first of our major acts are confirmed
original reggae rockers Misty in Roots will thrill all our reggae fans, whilst Dreadzone will get the crowd on their feet for the Saturday night session. Meanwhile, local ska dance legends Babyhead are confirmed as well as major Bristol jazz combo Smith and Willox for Main Stage appearances. Acoustic Stage
Jazica (semi acoustic rock), Caroline Martin (alternative/folk), Yvonne Waigo (singer) Superhighway Blues (Blues band), Master of None (folk) and Unearthed (folk) together form some of the superb acts booked for the Acoustic Stage. Find out more about them all click here.
Kids Area
Big welcome to the wondrous Robbie and Sally McMagic, who will be performing magic shows, face painting etc both days. And a warm welcome too to Creative Kids (Saturday only) with their amazing UV underwater interactive den great for the nippers, endless fun and amazement. Talks and Demos
The BVF 08 extends a warm welcome to all our talkers this year who once again are sharing huge amounts of knowledge and expertise about every aspect of the vegan lifestyle. Several speakers from both Viva! and The Vegan Society will be joined by many more in our 5 main areas, the Nutrition Talks Room, the Campaigns Talks Room, the Cookery Demos Area, the Raw Food Prep Zone and the Living Raw Talks Room. The deadline for the programme is looming (April 1st) there are still stalls and advert space available for the BVF 08, with stalls starting from as little as £131.25 + Vat for a small campaigners stall, as well as all size pitches and catering pitches available. Ethical shopping just got easier! Animal welfare organisation Naturewatch has launched the 11th edition of the Compassionate Shopping Guide.
The 80 page handbag size Guide shows how consumers can choose beauty, personal care and household products that have not been tested on animals. It clearly lists which products have been developed using animal testing, and covers most personal and household brands in the UK.
